The item illustrations in the Five-Factor Nonverbal Personality Questionnaire (FF-NPQ) depict personality-relevant behaviours that are based on Murray's (1938) system of needs, the scales of the Personality Research Form (PRF), and the Five-Factor Model of personality.
This nonverbal measure asks respondents to rate the likelihood that they would engage in the type of behaviour depicted in the item illustration on a 7-point Likert scale. Response options range from extremely likely to extremely unlikely.
The 60-item FF-NPQ takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It measures Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness to Experience--better known as the 'Big 5' factors of personality.
Several studies have evaluated these nonverbal assessments in North American, European, Middle Eastern, and Asian countries and have demonstrated strong support for the reliability, validity, and general applicability of the assessment. The following are some sources of support for the psychometric properties of the FF-NPQ.
Materials required for hand scoring include a manual, one picture booklet, one hand scorable answer sheet and one profile sheet per respondent.
The Five-Factor Nonverbal Personality Questionnaire can also be completed at SigmaTesting.Com, our exciting online testing platform that allows you instant local and remote testing and administrative access to a full range of tests and test results.
The NPQ is available on SigmaTesting.Com, our comprehensive online testing platform.

The FF-NPQ Manual is divided into four sections. Section I consists of data on the nature and purpose, and history of the NPQ and FF-NPQ. Section II includes information on the general properties, construction, and cross-cultural evaluations of the NPQ. Section III includes information on the general properties, construction and cross-cultural evaluations of the FF-NPQ. Section IV contains references and appendices.
The NPQ is an image-based measure of normal personality designed to measure 16 different personality traits.
The PRF is one of the most highly-regarded measures of normal-range personality available.
